Snowflake can toot their own horn and is perfectly well positioned to speak about performance improvements. But to anwer your question:
* First, I don't know anything about the new features. They have been announced but not yet released to the general public. Any comments I would add would be redundant and uninformed.
* Second, I could make a critique about another provider. I didn't because I have used Snowflake the longest as a user and this is what I'm most familiar with.
Third, the OP has not commented on what exatly I lie about. Nothing I mention in the article is untrue and although you can accuse me of ommiting information, I decided to go down the path of just going staright to the critique. My hope is Snowflake listens and decides to bite the bullet and reinvent itself since their plans for expanded usage require a 10x improvement in performance.
Lastly, the reference to laptop and deflationary costs of hardware is relevant because the 10% performance improvement announced by Snowflake is due to hardware upgrade while keeping costs the same.
